Modern Forms of Interaction Between the Preschool Education Institution and the Family Within the Kindergarten Teacher’s Professional Growth

Abstract

Introduction. Nowadays, one of the actual issues for teachers is to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process, to search effective tools for influence the development of a child in the conditions of his/her stay in the family and educational institution for successful socialization and self-realization. It obviously depends on the level of implementation of parental responsibilities and conscious approach to the upbringing of offspring, as well as the degree of interaction between the educational institution and the family, the introduction of various forms, methods, techniques and means of productive communication among teachers, children and their parents. The work is aimed at theoretical support and finding ways to solve the above-mentioned issues in a preschool education institution, as well as at the practical implementation of a system of educational activities for children’s parents in terms of competence, personal and activity approaches.

Goal. The purpose of the article is to reason the need to diversify the forms of effective interaction between the preschool education institution and the family.

Methods & Methodology of the Research. The important role of the state, society and educational institutions in the pedagogical enlightenment of parents and the need to renew the forms of interaction with them are confirmed taking into account the analysis of legal and scientific sources regarding traditional and innovative ways of establishing communication with the family in Ukrainian preschool education institutions and the author’s professional experience. The Results. In the course of the study, it was found that teachers and parents recognize the direct dependence of the quality of the educational process on the forms of interaction between children and the family, they mainly evaluate most of the ones they know as effective and productive, and consider the optimal ones that unite representatives of all at the same time three sides of participants in the educational process. The research indicates the factors of harmonious relationship between the educational institution and the family; this is, in particular, the kindergarten teacher’s professional skill and its systematic improvement. Real and concrete goals and priority tasks of the child's formation determined by the cooperation of the parties involved in the educational process are clearly defined. Also the elements of harmonious relationship are parents' understanding and awareness of their own child’s value, his life, ideas, emotions, development of abilities; maximum use of resources (intellectual, moral, professional, physical, etc.) in cooperation between the educational institution and the family on the basis of partnership. Conclusions. The results of the survey made it possible to reveal that the most effective and productive forms of interaction between the preschool education institution and the family are considered by adults, the participants of which are teachers, children and their parents at the same time; parent clubs (studios, schools, etc.); parent meetings; educational (holiday) events, the participants of which are children and parents; communication in groups (communities) through mobile applications or social networks, etc. Future research on the outlined issue will be closely related to the study of the forms of cooperation of the general secondary education institution and parents.
